Jackson Sharp
JACKSON’S STORY
Jackson, one of three siblings, was born and raised in the small town of Wentworth Falls, Australia in the Blue Mountains region of New South Wales. In high school he was a State champion in the 800 and 1500 meters and was the 2017 Australian U18 cross country champion. He then chose to come to the United States for college where he attended the University of Wisconsin.
PRO STATS
Jackson graduated from the University of Wisconsin in the spring of 2024 and immediately went over to Europe for his first set of races as a pro. He set a PB of 3:54.63 at the Morton Games Mile and nearly broke his 3,000 best as well—running 7:44.79 at the Cork City Sports Meet. Even before graduating, he finished third at the 2024 Australian Championships in the 5,000 meters. He will begin competing for HOKA NAZ Elite in the fall of 2024.
NCAA STATS
Jackson had a stellar career at Wisconsin, winning six Big Ten titles for the Badgers and earning six first-team NCAA All American honors. He finished as high as 16th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships (2022) and was a part of three straight Big Ten team titles in cross country in 2021, 2022 and 2023. His best indoor track performances included back-to-back double wins in the 5,000 and 3,000 at the Big Ten Championships and three third-place finishes at the NCAA Championships (twice in the DMR and once in the 3,000). Outdoors he was a Big Ten champion in the 1500 and finished third in the 5,000 meters at the 2023 NCAA championships.
