AHMED’S STORY
Ahmed Jaziri was born in Kairouan, Tunisia. He attended the High Institute of Sport and Physical Education of Ksar-Saïd where he earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education. Ahmed came to the United States in 2021 to attend Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) where he earned a second degree in sports management, with a master’s in safety and security management. While at EKU, Ahmed was the 2022 NCAA Champion in the steeplechase. He is the current Tunisian record holder in the short track mile run, 3000m, and 5000m.

PRO STATS
Ahmed graduated from Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) in 2022. His 8:18.70 mark in the steeplechase qualified him for the 2022 Mediterranean Athletics U23 Championships and the 2022 World Athletics Championships where he finished 4th and 10th respectively. In 2023, Ahmed set a new PB in the steeplechase, running 8:15.35. This mark qualified him for the 2023 World Athletics Championships where he finished 10th. Ahmed represented Tunisia at the 2024 Olympic Games where he placed 5th in the steeplechase, setting a new PR of 8:08.02. Ahmed joined HOKA NAZ Elite in 2025. He made his debut in the HOKA kit with a 1500m race at Sound Running’s The TEN, placing 6th in 3:40.16.

NCAA STATS
Ahmed Jaziri competed for Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) in 2021 and 2022. Ahmed finished 6th in the 3000m at the 2021 NCAA Indoor Championships, and placed 10th in the steeplechase at the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Championships. In June 2022, Jaziri won the NCAA steeplechase title at the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. His winning time of 8:18.70 was the second-fastest 3000m steeplechase in NCAA Championships history, and is the EKU school record in the event.
